The City of Huntington Permit is an online permitting system that offers a convenient way to submit permit applications, pay fees, and more.

Please note: Applying and paying online is the first step, but it does not result in an immediate permit. Processing times vary by type; some commercial permits may require a formal review, and missing documentation or information on your application will delay approval.

Once your permit has been officially approved and issued:

  • To have it mailed: Contact Finance at finance@huntingtonwv.gov or call 304.696.5540 ext. 4.

  • To pick it up: Visit Room 103 during standard business hours

Contractor Access

You must be registered and up-to-date with your city license before logging in or creating a new account. If you have not created an account, click on "Activate Account" below. For assistance with your city license, contact Finance at finance@huntingtonwv.gov or 304-696-5540 option 4.



Activate Account - Contractors who are already registered with the city may activate their account online.

Forgot Username - If you have already activated your account but have forgotten your username, simply click here to retrieve it.

Forgot Password - If you have already activated your account but have forgotten your password, simply click here to reset it.
